PPOC Joined PNP Quirino’s SAFE 2013

The Peace and Order council members actively joined and participated in the PNPs SAFE Program on January 13, 2013 at the Capitol Gymnasium, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

In preparation with the upcoming 2013 national and local elections, the Philippine National Police, this province, together with all offices under the umbrella of the DILG Family jointly conducted the Prayer rally for a Secured and Fair Election for the year 2013.

Spearheaded by the PNP, all national and local heads of offices were invited, thus actively participated in the said activity. Personnel from the DILG Quirino also participated in the said event.

The rally started with a Walk for Peace at the Q-Life Building, Capitol Compound, Cabarroguis, Quirino at 5:30 in the morning going to the Capitol Gymnasium of the same place where the program was held.

Around three hundred (300) participants joined the event, mostly, uniformed personnel.

Almost all offices were represented. Some local officials of the province and those coming from six municipalities were also present however, noticeably, the new candidates contending for new positions were not around.

The program is made brief as it started with prayer, national anthem, messages from selected officials and highlighted by the signing of Pledge of Unity in support to a SAFE 2013. It concluded with the releasing of white balloons as a symbol of peace.

Inspired by the idea of Pagkakaisa by the local candidates and as a good start to the election period at the local level, the activity marked everyone’s commitment to oneness and has given more meaning to the spirit of peace and order in the Province of Quirino come election 2013.
